Well I figured out with some messing around that the 35 mm lens thing I have wants to be closer to the sensor not farther away so it looks like focus will have to remain me stepping closer to my subject. the cheap piece o crap lens is off a fixed focus camera and it seems it sat closer to the film than it does my sensor and I cannot get it any closer. still going to use it but it will be slightly trickier.

Nah I will just sit this one out. My drawing skills leave a lot to be desired. I would get even less votes than a normal bad week. lol Unless I could go all the way to so bad it’s funny but I doubt it. That and I don’t know any little kids in this area so even crayons are out of my budget. I will survive missing a week I am pretty sure.

I have nothing for this theme at all. being broke makes it hard to get the props needed and I don’t want to borrow money just to enter a contest so I think I am gonna sit this one out. I cannot even find the b-sides from the first time around so no archive diving either. Oh well.

I guess that would improve my vote count also but I have a hard enough time keeping just myself sane and I think trying to do the alt thing like some TF types do would be an issue. that and remembering passwords. lol. I hope Fark listens to us about the voting thing and go back but I am not so sure it’s just a glitch. having spent a few minutes in the politics thread has taught me that people can be…less than civil about the most petty things.

I think they just need to change the voting back to the old system for Farktography anyway. Not sure why but it bugs me to get funny votes for a serious entry. And then there is the whole unvote issue. I have done my small bit to ask them to revert to the old system so if everyone does the same maybe we wont have this issue in the future.

I just sent a farkback about the voting issues as a constructive critisism. I had to laugh at the note telling me the ticket number of my complaint. and I copy pasted it so I would get this right. “Thank you for what you claim to be constructive criticism.
If it isn’t constructive, please be assured that we’ll ignore it, and hold a grudge against you for the rest of our natural lives.” I lol’d even though that’s almost rude.

Congrats Yoyo on the funny win and to loki on your overall performance. That’s your best combined finish in a while, and here you were just recently feeling down about your entries! Even tho the Love Life guy placed ahead, my favorite was the cowboy.

My rules for photography are thus:
1. Always use the neck strap (when not using tripod).
2. Take off the lens cap.
