Thanks for the link and info U-Man. I got 2 BP-511 2000mAh for $23.98. One is $39.00 at Best Buy. I got my Rebel over 3 years ago, so the original batt is just about dead. I got an offbrand about 2 years ago.

Ha, while I was typing this, my wife came back from the post office with the batteries. That was fast. I ordered them on Feb 4th.

We took a road trip to a friends cabin on the Illinois river last Sat. It was one of the few sunny days we’ve had lately. I got a few shots I can use. Saw a lot of deer, turkeys, and eagles.

I have that lens. I think that is about what I paid. It isn’t a bad lens, but it isnt a great lens. It is fun to play around with, but like Elsinore said you will need a tripod or lots of light to get good shots.
