http://photos.imageevent.com/ulle17/fark/Duchess.jpgThe kid pics are all with a P&S 35 mm ShurShot. The Golf Digest one wasn’t set up.
The doggie pic is from high school (mid 80’s) with my AE-1. I’m pretty sure that the print is that old too.U-Man
ParticipantAnd on the note of not finding b/w film, mods,–is it okay to take pictures with b/w in mind, then scan them as such, or is that going too far from ‘film’. I just shot a roll that I’d envisioned in b/w until I found nobody carries it (except one shop too far away to drive to). I shot it anyway.
B/W conversions are always fine.
My opinion differs from orionid’s. I think the spirit of the theme is pretty strict.
But, honestly and truly, it’s just an opinion. And it’s not even a strong one, at that.

ParticipantNow, now…your OBO request was buried amidst a bunch of blathering and you know it. 🙂 I’m on-call this week so there’s always a chance I’ll be doing something work related at go-time, but I can post for you. If you choose somebody less risky I won’t be hurt.
For me, post processing will be limited to making the scan look like the print. I’ll get rid of some dust and that’s about it.

ParticipantAre scanned from film images OK?
No. We’re going to mail prints around to each of us. 😯
Sorry. I’m just in a silly, sassy Friday mood. Please take no offense.
/ I’m sure I will archive dive for kid pics I took before my first Canon Powershot G3.
//However, Mr. Mopsy recently gave me his Canon FTb with 50 mm f/1.4. He had a friend “get him the good lens” during a trip to Japan in the 70’s so it might be an f/1.2 but I don’t think so. I also have some expired 35 mm film… I just might get out this weekend.

Mmmmmm. Fair food.
(It goes straight to your belly.)Hah! It looks like the woman in my entry had a kid in yours!
I’ll move this over here.
My shot was at the end of the night. I feel a bit guilty for posting it…but this is fark. Right after this the kids and I went on the ferris wheel as the last ride of the night. I took more of this dude but the lens had a smear on it + it was night with no flash = not great. Plus, you can’t see the belly from above. (50 mm f/1.4)

ParticipantKestrana, is there any update on Elsinore’s OBO?
Edit – nevermind. 🙂
U-Man
ParticipantAh so! You so clever.
Thanks for the update. I’ll be around.
U-Man
ParticipantEls, I still don’t see your e-mail. Can Zeke post for you?
U-Man
ParticipantOK! OK! You don’t have to keep telling me again and again.
(for context – there was a glitch in the internets and four copies of Elsinore’s message were initially here. Either that or I was hallucinating.)
U-Man
ParticipantElsinore, I got nothin’ in my email. Did you send to the ******@cirarad.com address?
U-Man
ParticipantThanks for the feedback, Elsinore. Rather than post a blurred out pic, I’ll just leave this here… http://photos.imageevent.com/ulle17/fark/metal_3848b.jpg
Also, I can post OBO for you. Can you e-mail me links?
Anything in particular I can help with tonight?
U-Man
ParticipantHey, would a shirt with the words “METAL AS FUCK” on it be SFW? Or would I have to blur & link?

ParticipantSo we’re all on the same page, right?
Right. And cars are alive, right?
I’ve been thinking of some sort of anthropomorphism theme. But not this one. No cars. :p

ParticipantHey, I just noticed Kestrana’s latest input. –> I agree.
OK. There seems to be enough support for the initial difficulty. Although I totally understand the broader theme = more participation concept, I’m going to choose to leave this one as nearly original. I’m only going to change the panels wording to allow different layouts. How about this?
Take three different photos of different parts of the same subject and combine them as a triptych for a single fark-sized entry. As usual, you can submit three entries. Difficulty – The subject must be alive.
