ParticipantI see both sides of the issue. But consider this –>
I compose a pic, put my camera on a tripod, set up external flashes, dial in correct manual settings on my camera, take test shots then get my daughter to smile by pretend farting.
But my wife pushes the button.
I contend that the photo is more mine than hers. I don’t think the button pushing is THE defining factor. It is only one of them.
Basically, I’m going to stay true to myself and follow the spirit of this community.

ParticipantI agree with soosh. I understand avoiding a slippery slope of ‘how much is too much’ for outside help. But I’m pretty sure we have allowed pics using a ‘human tripod’ before.
/I say you should use it if you want to.

Participant*Anything* to handicap you.
I’ll take that as a compliment and not a sinister plot. 🙂
I might just use pics from vacation last week…

ParticipantJeez. Can’t we narrow this down a bit? Throw in some rules like “Family members wearing blue” or “Not smiling” or something? My head will asplode trying to select the three entries. 🙂

ParticipantI actually chuckled out loud. The Mrs asked what was funny. I started to tell the whole story and she stopped me. Seems she has heard about this before. 🙂
lol That does not surprise me 😆 So…pm me your addy and I’ll ship you your black and white yellow school bus 😉
Awww. Thanks. I’ll do that.

ParticipantU-Man, I Lol’d, I awed, I lol’d again. Bravo on that trio.
Thanks. My family and I are at Sanibel Island for spring break (picked a good time to vacate the Midwest!) and I did the hairy palm shot the night before leaving. I could probably do it a smidge better with another take, but it turned out OK. The bandaged thumb is from the archives – my youngest in the screened-in porch up at Mopsy’s. The ‘Bird’ was a five shot take this afternoon. My wife just shook her head and smiled ruefully. I had another version with better focus (or less motion) but the facial expression and pose were less classic. So I went B&W and bumped to contrast.
I did a family pic of the five of us looking down into my camera with fish-eye lens pointing straight up. It turned out OK and gave me the idea to get as many people as I could at the pool to put their hands right over the camera – like 30 hands – but other things got in the way of that shot. I still might try it.
Here’s one for U-Man:

U-Man, you have almost exactly 10,000 more votes evar than me going into this week. 😉
Ten.Thousand. Ten. Thousand. 😯
Ummm. Yeah. 10,002. But who is counting? 🙂
(insert another shout out to the schnee-meister here. The FSM makes this more fun for me; as I’m sure it does for others. Thanks.)

ParticipantI’m pretty sure I have to use the two irreverent ones.

ParticipantI have an x-ray of a nail through some guy’s thumb. It’s a thumbnail image. 🙂
Seriously.
Can’t use it as I didn’t take it.
Pics or it didn’t happen. 😆
I’m away from my ‘teaching files’ right now but I’ll post it here sometime. It’s right next to the prenatal ultrasound of a male 36 weeker grabbing his wee-wee.
So far, I have two serious pics and two irreverent pics. There’s one more idea in my head but I don’t know if I can pull it off. I need more hands.

ParticipantFor gits & shiggles (as chupathingie put it), I decided to assemble some of our letters into a word:
That’s totally sweet. From now on, I’m going to e-mail my ransom notes using this technique.

ParticipantThat D is really awesome. I’m somewhat glad you didn’t use it but know it will show up some day.
Thanks. I s’pose I should have used that instead of the ‘A’. But the guessing is part of the game.
I might have to start sticking my neck out late Wednesday nights. I called out loud to myself that the Ranger would have a nice week. 🙂

ParticipantDamnit, I so read the theme as nothing man-made! Do you know how many tree branches and flower stems I searched through looking for letter all because I have poor reading comprehension! 🙂
that sux. 🙁

ParticipantHa! Limp noodle.

ParticipantI have a ‘G’ like Kestrana’s. It was in a neighbor’s yard. Some sort of plant stabilizer stake thingie.

And here’s another winter reed letter. My ‘A’ in the contest and this one were both done about two years ago – for this purpose if not directly for this theme.

/damn, I might like the D-reed better than the A-reed.

ParticipantI got the idea for this theme from the photographers who take these photos and sell them a letter at a time for family names and such. So my original intent was one letter per photo – like you could cut out the pictures and make a ransom note or something.
But you know me, I tend to want to open up the themes rather than close them down. Since it is pretty late in the game and there was this unforeseen ambiguity, I say that multiples of the same letter in one photo should be allowed.
But if you have multiple choices, remember that the spirit of the theme is one letter per pic.
Is that fair and good?
