The only reason I was able to afford my D7000 was because of a huge, unexpected windfall. I was looking at having to save up for nearly a year before that happened. Maybe by the time you save up enough for it, they’ll have enough to meet demand and the price will go down.

well i play the powerball every week so the huge (totally) unexpected windfall part is covered.

The D7000 has the DoF preview button-very useful, as you say. I think my SRT101 has one too.

i’d love a D7000 but don’t have the $1200 for the body. i have lenses.

DSLR viewfinders seem to be brighter than my SLR ones.

Depending on the age of the SLR, it could be a by-product of the aperture. If the aperture is manually set on the lens,

If you have a DoF preview button (or can program one), it shrinks the aperture to whatever you’re set at, and you’ll see both the screen get darker and the DoF get wider.

both my SRT102 and all my XD-11s film cameras are wide open for focus, drop as needed for exposure. all have DOF preview which i love. the minolta 7D DSLR which zero exponent has now has that too. unfortunately the D3000 doesn’t. when i can afford to trade up that’s one feature that is a must have.

well i’m going for stuff that is art but commissioned. this one i wonder about. it used to be on the roof of a catfish restaurant pre katrina. i think it’s both urban and art but what do you folks think.

    Looks fine to me.

thanks. it was that or some mosaic stuff from ocean springs, ms which i also like but will save for later.

sleeping as you know the minolta film cameras have split screen and it’s great except in low light. maybe it’s me and a poor memory but DSLR viewfinders seem to be brighter than my SLR ones.

the fabric store here isn’t too bad dollar wise and will get you to 36″ at least for width. plus you can get denim and other stuff if that’s what you need.

I want one with full 1080p HD video.

why? seriously i don’t get the whole multifunction thing.

that may be why i have both a printer and a scanner. well that and they both are far superior to the all in one type.

No worries. I already got those, actually.. We’re doing ok, but the damn news keeps zooming in on everything BUT our county where the line is crossing. 🙄

thanks, would you also delete this to please since both offending posts are gone.

Hey Curious: Can you repost your first entry without the description?

question. i have an entry here 2011-05-25 08:04:38 PM kittens with cat food bags. no text no caption. that is entry one.

a deleted entry here 2011-05-25 08:06:11 PM which seems to have run afoul of the rules. ooops

and i reposted the entry at 2011-05-25 08:07:49 PM with the “this should caption well” comment so please pull it too. and yours and cretinbob [TotalFark] Quote 2011-05-25 08:10:16 PM probably.

    thanks

Elisinore if you are safe enough please delete my 08:07:49 PM with the comment about captioning well. then you might also want to delete cretinbob‘s comment at 08:10:16 PM since it refers to my post then delete your follow up at 08:46:38 PM. or not. at least kill my 08:07:49 since i reposted it.

    thanks
