ParticipantWell that’s your opinion! Huff!
Which I asked for, so, you know, thanks for that. You know, the clearing things up. Well, thing. It was just the one. So, uh, “clearing thing up”. That thing. The clearing up of that thing.Damn, this actually kills my idea for this theme.

ParticipantU-Man back with the heat this week! Pass along my compliments to your model 😀 she nailed the expression but needs to work on the weather beaten texture.

ParticipantLiving in the least auto-centric city in America left me high and dry for this theme. The closest I could come in the archives was the wienermobile

There are classic cars in a lot of the parades I shoot but I never seem to pay attention to them. I’ve never been a car guy, hell I could barely remember to put gas in those I owned. I was mean to live in NYC 8)

ParticipantRead more carefully. He’d have been fine with a crop. DQ’d for digitally removing something that did not alter the substance of the photograph.
He could have burned it into blackness or cropped it out, but using the clone tool was a hard and fast no-no.
Damn, you’re right. The post is poorly written, he could use a good editor.

ParticipantSomething tells me, knowing the ‘average’ farker, that we’re all going to lose to the pink bikini, for no other reason than the pink camel toe.
Hard to compete against cats and camel toes.

ParticipantEnnuipoet… I’ve REALLY been enjoying your people shots of late. You REALLY get some interesting people in the Big Apple!
Today’s are just as awesome as any you’ve shown us yet.
*rabid hand-bruising applause*
I’ve reached the point of having a huge library of shots from all the events I’ve shot, but I would’ve nothing without the amazing, weird, and amazingly weird neighbors in my City. They bring the cool, I just capture it for posterity.
But thank you for the applause. 😀

ParticipantThe Graflite three cell was the original prop for the movie. I will likely end up putting the bulk of them on Ebay for that purpose.

ParticipantNothing yet, I am kind of bummed. It was a strange interview and I got the feeling they thought I was to young for the job…which is weird since I am 43. Maybe if looked 43 it would’ve helped. The guy who interviewed just kept going back to how old I was, I think he thought I was lying.

ParticipantI had an absurdly good time picking out shots for this. Most of the jokes I used in my blog over the past year, but doing them as memes pleased me greatly.

ParticipantI can do it. They changed the posting thing though and it threw me for a loop for a minute until I found the Raw HTML button.
Many thanks, I had a late meet up with an old friend!
Oh come now, ennuipoet, we’re all old friends, and adults at that. I don’t think you need to use euphemisms here.
Fine, fine, I was down with a wicked diarrhea! 😳

Participantranostic: Ya know, you could have just gotten the Walmart knock offs…wouldn’t have necessarily tasted the same, but they look the same for photographic purposes 😉
DAMNIT! I never thought of that! Just as well, two Twinkies would’ve been sweety, creamy overkill.

So, here is one of the two shots I managed to get right today (out of six) the first I took I forgot to remove the dark slide, so blank negative. Then I double exposed the second. 😀 I used the “Taco Method” to develop the film in Patterson Tanks, you have to make sure the film is tightly packed, other wise the hair band comes off and you hork up the develop. Then I had to trick my scanner into recognizing the film format and stitch the images together.
That is a LOT of work for just a few images, but the SIZE of these things and the depth of field is stunning. This image is scaled way down otherwise it would never fit on the screen.
So, there is a lot to learn, but it’s fun learnin’!
