I really like the third picture down, but overall an awesome gallery. I’ve been wanting to play with bokeh-adapters, but haven’t had the chance yet.

Ohhhh, is THAT what that thing is? My first time clicking it – pretty cool. When you pull out the tracking mount, does that generally mean you’re doing a time-lapse video? Let us know how it turns out.

I love that this thread opens with that shot of the half naked men…

As a wise woman once said, “Hmph.”

“The next step is kind of tricky…”

I gave up way before that 😯 Seriously, what some of you guys do with cameras and lenses is beyond me. I’m sure I’ll be tearing apart cameras in no time – y’all are going to rub off on me. If my girlfriend yells at me, I’m blaming you.

You mean the fact that it’s upside down?

If this is it (and I see it now), that was REALLY subtle, rav

I’m thinking catnip or laz0r pointers. Olavf – are your cat’s claws painted?? ‘guine, they’re scared enough that they’ll even run from me if I’m trying to give them food. They aren’t the cooperative type.

The more I keep staring at it, the more it becomes the Eye of Sauron 😆

The photo I have up that’s doing the best (well, compared to my others at least) was actually in Taiwan, too. It’s a beautiful country to photograph in. Actually, a big bulk of my archived shots are from Taiwan because it was right after I got my D7k. Ultra-uniqueness will be epic now that I have the themes to go on.

I’m staring at it, trying to magic-eye it, taking steps back and forth and looking at all sorts of angles but I’m not seeing anything. I think my imagination died 🙁 I *kinda* see hand giving a sideways peace-sign in the bottom left, but that’s all I’ve got.

I agree with rav – it’s good to carry around a list of upcoming themes. I keep a sheet in my camera backpack with all the hoppered contests, just so I’m thinking of ideas.

I had some AWESOME suspenders when I was a little tyke. I’m talking rainbow ones – my brother and I had a matching set we would have to wear to church. I need to dig up that photo and embarrass the hell out of him now.

I’d say it’d embarrass me too, but…well…I have no shame 🙄

(Just did a quick search) – here’s the solution to your problem, NoBigDeal: http://www.buy.com/prod/rainbow-suspenders/q/sellerid/23814290/loc/64935/209248433.html
Just $10 and they’re all yours.

I was reticent for this one because I don’t have any cats, and if I step foot in a shelter I’m going to end up rescuing every last one of them. Luckily I’m house sitting for my mom this weekend and she has two cats, but they always flee when they see me. Think a bit of catnip would do the trick and get them all drugged up for good pictures? 😈

I might need a few OBO’s coming up, too. Going to Taiwan for 3 weeks, and I doubt I’ll have internet (never got around to it last time). It’s going to be weird selecting the photos that far in advance.

Yea Umm..I could see me with the D7000, battery grip, and 70-200 f2.8 attaching that to my belt and ending up with my pants around my ankles!!
Seriously though I can see that being useful with a lightweight camera setup. I think with a heavy rig it may be uncomfortable at best.

Suspenders. Suspenders are the answer here.

Anyone know where I can find a pair of suspenders these days?

I keep mine in a backpack next to my tripod right next to my bedroom door so I can run out the door with it ASAP if I need to 😆 That’s a cool setup, though.

Awesome. Am I to understand from your comment that this deal is still available? If so, please direct me to where I might be able to take advantage of it.

er…deal in the sense of the word that it exists 😕 Sorry if I mislead you. I was able to find other ones comparably priced on ebay, and there were more than just this one on my craigslist listing. Hopeful you’d be able to find something similar in your area, though.

/edit to say something like this listing in your town of Tucson: http://tucson.craigslist.org/pho/2316765118.html
They have a 50mm f/1.4 that’s at least 20 years old, so probably very similar to mine. If they don’t have the AI adapted mount on it already, you could probably knock off some extra bucks.
