There’s pictures slowly filtering in on Facebook but everything went great.

And interesting because they actually talk to the photographers and show them working and interacting with the models so you can see what they’re doing to get their results.

I don’t think we’re gonna be too nit picky about where the art came from as long as orionid said, it’s obviously not in-a-museum sorts.

I’m pretty sure anyone can sit on their ass in front of the tv watching Americas Next Top Model and eating Chex Mix.

Yeah I don’t want to discourage creativity but that’s a little more out of the box than I meant.

I’m sure that we will post a gallery with some shots when we get everything together.

I recently shot my best friend and her son on a spur of the moment idea for their wedding anniversary. The pictures where they were just horsing around and playing were far easier and more interesting to shoot than the family portrait. Photographers shouldn’t rely on “happy accidents” but you can increase the chance of getting some unplanned awesome shots by having people engaged in an activity where you are the observer.

If your idea going into this is that a mountain has to be Mt. Everest IMHO you’re setting yourself up for failure. Being from the midwest, even the “hills” around San Diego seemed like enormous mountains to me. Even a molehill can be a mountain in the right perspective…

Don’t tempt him to take a hammer to my ipod! He hates Apple.

Heh. Given that it’s pretty hard for us to take pictures of ourselves doing the things one does at a wedding, I can only pray.

Yeah it’s going to be IA, VA, or PA depending on jobs. CA is right out…

I suppose to be consistent we should consider GA, LA, MA, and WA too.

You can also think out of the box. Any sort of representation of mountain, volcanos, waterfalls would work too from neon signs to public art.

Thanks olavf that’s sweet, but moving the contest might wind up in just more procrastination.

Not to mention a couple more weeks and everything has to be packed up.

For those not on Facebook, last week we found out orionid is no longer needed in the Navy, essentially is getting laid off in June and our wedding is Saturday so we have that, then finding a job and figuring where we want to move to on the Navy’s dime.
