Mine are from a trip to the zoo with my grandson that we promised him all summer. We waited till the end of September to go so as to avoid walking all day in the heat and wouldn’t you know the day we go the temps hit 90 degrees!

Ouch! Hope all turns out well. As someone who has dealt with disc/back problems my whole life the best advice I can give is rest. Don’t let them anywhere near you with a knife except as a last resort!

Photo a day. Take a photo EVERY day for a year or more. Your skill will improve dramatically. There are a whole bunch of groups on Flickr for it.

I must be kinda dense this week. So you mean I have to upload a 640 by 480 version for the contest? I realize I have the unlimited option now but I wish I didn’t have to do that. I kinda like for people to see the large size and at the same time was trying to not have duplicates of half my pictures.

The pixel dimensions don’t matter, Fark will resize as needed to 640. It’s the kb size you have to worry about. Keep your originals under 200kb preferably under 150 to be sure and upload the ORIGINAL size from flikr otherwise their compression makes the file too heavy for Fark

I have one L lens, 70-200L f4. There is a huge difference in IQ compared to any other glass I own or have owned, except the 50mm 1.4 which is as good as any L lens. I have a couple aftermarket lenses, Tamron 17-50 f2.8 and a Sigma 24-70 f2.8 that both work OK on the 40d but the flaws become highly noticeable on the higher resolution 50d. I can only imagine on a 21mp camera how bad it would be.

I gave my daughter my Sony P&S but all she uses if for is taking hundreds of Myspace Angle shots of herself to post on Facebook

I use video spin for simple video editing. I also have the full version of Pinnacle studio but I find the free one works for most of the stuff I need to do.

Ouch! I hate when that happens!
I picked up my brandy spankin new 70-300IS USM lens right before heading out to a Sox game a few years ago. After taking about 4 shots with it I decide to swap out for a wider lens to take some wide shots of Fenway before the game starts. Well it was a Sunday night in April and it was about 37 degrees at game time. Wouldn’t you know my frozen fingers dropped the brand new lens on the cement. Smashed to bits. :(. Luckily Ritz Camera sells insurance and I was psychic enough to buy it. The only thing that sucked was it took 4 months to get it fixed. In the mean time I went out and bought another one because I am impatient and ebayed that one when it came back.

64,419 on my 40D since June of 08 and 39,127 on my 50D since August 09. I’ll bang out anywhere from 16-32 gigs for an average show. (800-2000 images depending which camera I use as the main one and how many bands)
