ParticipantThat’s what I get for not paying attention. I was looking for rusty stuff until I saw what Mopsy had thrown on our imagehost.
Good thing I take photos of weird shiat. I even have one of these…

ParticipantThanks for the input.
And emiliogtz, I agree. Use the ATV.U-Man
ParticipantI have picked my #1 and #2. My brain hurts trying to figure out what the voters would do with these for #3.

Participantbtw – it just says “Votes” now. Did the damn “Best” and “Funny” go away?

ParticipantAhem. I still feel like you are talking right at me. 😳

ParticipantHeh. And then I still went back to an old one. I guess I’m not very decisive a noche.

ParticipantHey Elsinore, would you please deletionate my old black and white cabin post 09:25:39? I have used that cabin (not that frame) before and, while it might do OK, I’m in the mood to post something more original. Thanks in advance.

ParticipantI’ve confession to make, when this theme came along I was a little “meh” about it. I didn’t hate it, but I wasn’t inspired by it. Then, because I’ve had a dearth of things to shoot of late because of my work schedule, I decided I would shoot new stuff and not archive dive.
The results have actually been some amazing (or least they are to me) shots. I looked at my usual haunts with new eyes, a new…hah!…perspective. I’ve fallen in love with this theme and will continue to incorporate the things I’ve done for it in my day to day photography. It was like looking at the world with fresh eyes. Thanks SilverStag for submitting this, it changed the way I saw the world!

ParticipantU-Man because the effect is so subtle, I don’t know if that really fits in my book. It took me a minute to think about how it pertained to the theme before I realized that duh the glasses must have been at an angle. But if I was modding the thread, I’d let the voters figure it out.
I tend to agree. The more I think about it, the less it really fits.

ParticipantMy turn for a question – while I think this is an interpretation of the theme, I question if it is in the spirit of the theme.
SilverStag? Anyone else?
And don’t worry, I have others I might use even if this gets the OK.

ParticipantToo far? The shot depicts the anti-solar point, typically only evident on negative horizons. But, yeah, I tweeked it for emphasis. Too much? I can tone it down…or am I on the wrong trail to begin with?
I like the composition, but I think the saturation is bordering on cartoonish.
I agree – but with the caveat that I have had some really, really orange colors shooting away from a sunset. I can remember one in particular – I took a selfie holding a musky with the setting sun so low that my tripod cast a shadow on me. I looked like a carrot.
/but I know that rav likes da saturated pretty colors, too. 🙂

Participantdoes the horizon have to appear in the shot? and a quick revisit to my earlier question regarding camera angle…anyone?
not necessarily the one I want to submit, but an example of what I mean:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/discover_uranus/7109961777/I’m not the final word, but I think that example is fine. The actual horizon doesn’t have to be in the frame. But the pic should have something that shows the camera was held at a wonky angle. e.g. – trees, buildings, telephone poles, etc.

ParticipantGah. I don’t want to be a jerky winner. Thanks for the congrats. 🙂 (I checked e-mail while out in the boat this Sunday and these posts fell off of my radar.) I liked the stuff this week.
See y’all in a few days.
