That’s funny. 🙂 I agree with the subsequent comment and your eventual choices. The shadow isn’t the subject in these.

Ahhhh and Arrrrghh at the same time. I had a busy work day and didn’t have the luxury of checking up on this stuff. Then, at the board meeting that went until freaking 10:30, the wireless internet at the restaurant was out and I couldn’t post my stuff. I’ve been jonesing for my internets. And, of course, this is the one night in a year that Mopsy asks if I can post for her.

I really wanted to post the colored bubbles toy pic. I went with a more conventional shadow choice.

I took this one the same day as my ‘Winter Reeds’ entry. My testicles actually got a little smaller just taking this photo.

Being somewhat of a geek myself, I happen to appreciate geeks. 🙂 I smiled through the last half of millera9’s dissertation.

Per our discussion on silhouettes vs shadows, I did add language to clarify that silhouettes don’t count for this theme. No limiting of the shadow-producing object’s presence in the frame, though.

Aww, c’mon. Can’t we talk about this some more. 🙂 I have plenty of real shadow pics. No need to use the leaf one.

I know this is off-topic, but it should end here…

So I figured out why my speakers stopped working. (Lenovo x200, running XP Pro.) You know the little buttons that control volume up, volume down and mute? Well with this computer the up and down ones make the little volume slide bar go up and down accordingly. However, the mute button does NOTHING to the mute indicator. So one could mute the speakers with the button and the mute icon shows no change. One could then spend hours checking one’s device manager, uninstalling drivers and then searching and re-installing drivers without success. One could get mighty irked at one’s computer.

That is until one decides to just push the little buttons and see if that changes anything. VOY-LA.

Thanks. You rock. I told you I was feeling lazy tonight. The next search is mine. (I have been doing a lot of searches today because my laptop speakers suddenly stopped working and I can’t figure out why…:( )

I added the right click one to my laptop. In reading the description, I learned that I didn’t need it for my desktop. That has a middle scroll wheel that also clicks as a middle button. I bet there are only a few thousand things Firefox could do if I only knew about them. 🙂

hey corsec – i got myself a FF addon that makes it so that any link pops if i right click on it – no dealing with the pull down menu, none of that, and it doesn’t interfere with any other right click functions. so now when i’m not sure, i right click! and i don’t feel the need to strangle anybody, isn’t that nice? 😀

/also got a nifty one that makes any link pop next to the tab it popped from, which i think is tidy.

I expected my ladybug to do better too. I liked the yellow setting and the pollen on her back. However, while I think the photo idea is good, the actual photo didn’t turn out as good as the pic in my head. I only got a few pics before it flew away. It would have worked better if it was crawling on the stamen or something. I agree with the comments about justkat’s – and apply the same to mine. It would have been nicer with different focus.
