I’m the ‘co-host’ and I’ve only got one pic I took months ago. Sheesh. I don’t see many opportunities between here and Wed either. Oh well.

While I am in complete agreement with corsec67 about what I want to see in this theme, I think I have a bit more leniency. I’d be OK swampa’s bike. Yeah, it’s not perfectly sharp but the background makes up for it.

As far as the Filthy_Farkle post goes, IMO it is almost a certainty that is an unacceptable method. It is two pics stacked. That said, it’s a really nice photo. I think I will do something like it in the near future. As Elsinore points out, he has only participated in 5 themes. I don’t want to chase him away. I am totally comfortable moving on with my life. I’m sure I’ll have my radar up when I look as his pics in the future. If I see something fishy then I’ll wave a red flag sooner.

Same here. I have this one taken under a full moon. However, I think it says “palm tree” louder than it says “moon”. What do youse guys think?

Maui. Just outside 0f Lahaina. Kaanapali beach.

I was only there a week and didn’t even attempt to see other cities, let alone islands. I have done a Hawaiian Island cruise. But that was really just stopping at each one, setting a foot on land so you can say you were there and getting back on the boat. This one was a leave-the-kids-at-home relaxation type trip. (at this point, I would like to publically thank Mopsy for living at my house and chasing my kids for the week 🙂 )

I’m pretty sure I fell into the trap of liking that photo more than it deserves because it has meaning to me…not to anybody else. That’s OK, I didn’t really have a third this week. I hates it when a pic does poorly and I have other choices that, in retrospect, would have been better.

Hey Elsinore, would you please delete my first (2009-02-18 08:29:29 PM) zip-line post? I was messing around and discovered that I could upload low-res video to my image host. I re-posted the same photo with a new window pop to a short video.

/Just thought of this…I assume it’s OK to pop to that video. Do you think that it is OK? If not, well then please delete that post and leave the original. 🙂

U-Man: I was bummed when I realized the table junk was in the frame.

just kat: this is something i’m really working on mentally: trying to be mindful of my framing, not just my subject. it’s tough to remember and/or catch it all sometimes!

just kat, I try to be aware of what is in the frame. With this one, though, I was sort of rushed. And then I had both hands on the gun waiting for the timer to go. Then when I actually looked at the pic it was too late (in several ways) for a re-take. 🙂 That’s OK, I was mainly goofing around and trying to get the strobe to work. I was happy with that part of the pic, at least.

That first one with the shotgun at a bit of an angle totally gave me a Duke Nukem flashback. I had that on my computer for a few months. I had to quit ’cause I was staying up until all hours and then would ‘see’ the game while trying to fall asleep.

I did one tonight that is pretty funny. But similar to my “cry over spilled milk” one from this past summer, my youngest is featured and crying….’cause I’m not being nice to her….but it’s OK ’cause it is for art….right? 🙂
