ParticipantOk. Gotcha. That’s about as simple as I have them here, so I will just have to look for something else. I can’t recreate the picture because that one was taken last year and those flowers only come out in the spring. I tried to crop it so that it was mostly just the green of the leaves and then the trillium bud, but I wasn’t happy with that because I thought too much of the picture was then taken up by the bud.
Thank you for the direction.

ParticipantSomething like this perhaps? Would this fit the bill?

ParticipantSimple, clean, quiet. Thank you to olavf, justkat, U-Man, and Uranus for providing me with links and examples. To be honest, I got a little carried away on looking at all those and got distracted from work (one of the downsides of working from home). I Will look more into the Flickr group tonight after the last of my jobs has been sent in, but in the mean time, I believe I have something to go on for now and my brain can chew on it while I continue on my jobs.
I got lost in searching through my archive a bit and found some things that may or may not work (also some really cool pictures I forgot I took). I will link them later tonight after I upload them and ask for opinions.
Thank you (again) for your help. I love challenges like this.

ParticipantAs much as I admire minimalism and the people who think it, etc, I have to admit I’m not one of them. I think I’m more of a busy person. So, for those of you who lean more towards this than I do, any thoughts on how I should think about this? What makes it minimalist? I did start by looking at the previous contest to see if I could come up with anything. Like I said, this isn’t my strength, but I”m willing to learn. Any tips, suggestions? I have an idea for flower petals (or just some flower blossoms) on a white background either spelling something out or making a pattern of some sort, but I also don’t want it to look too set up (not sure why). Thanks.

ParticipantOh my goodness, soosh. I hope my little boy grows up as good looking as your boys. So precious. And they look like they (can) play well together.
bucky_bacon: OMG She’s so cute! Happy birthday, Little One!
We should have another cute kids contest.

ParticipantSweet!
Ok, my 3 entries are posted. This (below) is my little bugger:

Everyone’s kids are SO CUTE! Of course, I’m biased because I think most kids are cute.
My website that this profile links to is my blogspot page. On there I have the entire set of pictures from the day at the beach in a slideshow through Photobucket, if anyone’s interested in seeing the whole thing. I have absolutely tons of pictures with lots to share. The one above is from *checks date* August 3 so it’s fairly recent. All of this is in context though. Today he was loving and generally overall fun. Some days it’s a trial not to pull my hair out. So today I’m not stressed out with him.
Yay! (just because)

ParticipantI do plan on joining in (in a bit). I have 2 jobs to finish up and then I can come here for good. I just *ABSOLUTELY HAD* to come look at what was up so far. I feel like a kid in a candy store or something. Everything looks frelling cool!
Must. Finish. Work. Then. Can. Play. (right?, pretty, pretty please say I can come play.)

Participantjustkat, Mama’s ALWAYS get to think that their kids are beautiful. U-Man, the one you linked of your daughters are very cute, especially the one that everyone seems to be talking about here. I really can’t wait the other hour or so to post mine. I’m getting all antsy just waiting and I’m all set up to go, too. I just have to post.
I’m posting 2 of my own kid too (when the time comes, of course). Despite being the little rascal that he is (aren’t they always at 3?) he can be a lot of fun, and is mostly photogenic (or so I think so).

ParticipantAs posted in the Color Pop thread, a friend has given me his copy of Photoshop Elements that he doesn’t use so I will be using that and applying such artsy stuff myself and my husband won’t have to do it for me.

ParticipantI’m pleased to announce (for those who cared) that a friend has given me his copy of Photoshop Elements that he doesn’t use and I have colorpopped my other 2 choices. My husband doesn’t have to do it for me any more. Yay! I’m all ready for this contest and the images have been properly uploaded to Photobucket so unless Photobucket crashes and loses my pictures, or something else happens, I can just post and go. Woot!

ParticipantThat’s fine by me. I had a thought about it, but I’ll make a mental note to avoid that. Still have other options. 😀

ParticipantI’ll get him to install PS (or equivalent) on my ‘puter soon then. I might just have too much fun with it then.

ParticipantI guess my opinion on that, NBD, is that I’d say if you’re a n00b, just joining then the last couple of months are open or so. I’ve only been doing this a couple of months now, is it, but already I have a few pictures that are ready (I’m thinking Shiny, Shiny Metal with the innards of a hard drive for one, some industry ones for another).
Question though, if we have some shots that would have been good for the Take3 one (Do It Yourself), could we post the 3-in-1 for that one only and would that limit our posts or should that one be left out?

ParticipantOh God, I can’t wait for this.
Must. Finish. Work. First.
Anxiously awaiting the lulz, anticipating on falling out of my chair and possibly waking up the kid (accidentally) from laughing so hard.

ParticipantI’m asking again, as with in Color Popping. I take the pictures, but can my husband do the shooping, or is it okay if he does it under my direction? I’m not really all that good with the filters or anything, but he has da skeelz for said work. Maybe I’ll just borrow his ‘puter for it instead.
