ParticipantHa, I hadn’t even noticed that, Im going to take that as a sign that this contest is going to be awesome.

ParticipantI had been wondering about that too, if 4 people give +1.5s that cancels out the upping of the threshold for how many people have to support a theme to get it in the hopper.

ParticipantI kept all the threads for hoppered themes
Guess I shouldve actually looked around to see what was left.

ParticipantIs it possible to close threads rather than deleting them in case people ever want to go back through old theme suggestions. I’d suggest at least keeping the theme threads for anything thats been added to the hopper because we’ve had to go back to those to remember what had been decided earlier for past constests.

ParticipantThanks! Here’s the whole set from that day. It was just spectacular. Just on the drive home from work.
Wow, I wish I had scenes like that when Im driving around the Baltimore and DC beltways. Scenes like that make me want to move to Alaska until I remember what Im assuming is the 9 month long winter you go through.

ParticipantSo Im trying to pick something for my 3rd photo, does anyone think something like this might be a good fit for this week http://www.flickr.com/photos/guine/5593619559/

ParticipantWell to complete the trifecta I could never get hugin to work in linux either.

ParticipantThis theme seems pretty broad – am I right in assuming that? What’s artsy-fartsy to one person might not be so artsy to another. I’m just wondering whether the composition of a photo that I consider to be “artsy” is enough to warrant submission to this contest. It’s always hard to tell when you throw abstract into the mix 😆
They let me get away with a picture of stuffed animal dogs playing poker for the artistic bent contest so I have trouble seeing anything that doesn’t break the regular rules being disqualified.

ParticipantEither of the “not funny” ones. In the “Funny” ones, I’d argue the subject is the girls, not the glass since you can’t really even see the glass itself.
I know. But I was going for different. Outside the box. A unique interpretation. You know, a B&W school bus. 🙂
(written with teasing mellow kindness and zero spite)
/looks like I should have used one of the other ones anyway.
I liked the idea, but it did take me a couple seconds to figure out how it fit glass so I was wondering how it would do with voters.

ParticipantAnd stupid Flickr also changed the ‘grab the link’ prompts again, which confuzzled my old brain.
Im not happy about that since it no longer works in opera.

ParticipantCongratulations, I loved those shots.

ParticipantMy favorite 3 are spectrus, mothership and curvy.

ParticipantSaying current world languages would probably work. Maybe throw in something saying no heiroglyphs if we wanted to be certain.
