I echo the Yikes and hope it gets better fast! but that was some good and funny writing you got there. Made it sound probably way less bad than it was. Almost fun even.
My day yesterday was an unevent.

I thought more color would be better.

I wish I could have gotten permission to get closer to the harvester thing like Olavfs picture. That’s a neat perspective .
Edited to put the punctuation in the right spot.

Yeah I had to go out a few different times to get this weeks pictures also. One of my choices was found when I was out running some errands.

Yeah that would have been very cool to get it done with permission instead of the way it was. It’s a great silhouette for anything Texas related I think.

Everything works just great. I had to not use it at 1.8 out in the desert today because it was way too much light and a max of 1/4000 of a second is the shortest exposure the camera will do. It didn’t have a lens cap but it did have the cap for the back end and a rather abused Tiffen polarizer.

I bought a canon EF50mm 1:1.8 II today from my local pawn shop for $25. there was no price tag on it and he asked me what I was willing to pay for it.
There was a sigma lens for something with a tiny little mount for $25 so I said the same because I wasn’t sure the auto focus would work. It works just great.

That last comment made me realize I had not changed my location in my profile. I wonder how long it will take to show up on thew little side bar ?
Edited to say never mind . I figured that one out on my own.

Nice. I still have not had a thunder and lightning show since I moved. I am waiting patiently. I need to try and get the stuff to make the gadget you are using to get the timing right caradoc.

Well I cannot brag about that kind o speed but I once got my stock Chevy Monza with a 262 v8 to just over 120 according to the guy in the 5 liter mustang I was racing. My speedometer only went to 90 if I remember right. on almost bald tires on a 2 lane road with trees on both sides. Man was I dumb in the 80s.

Back to the theme though I am having a hard time picking which songs to even try this with.

So the mushroom you are talkin about sounds like an (Amanita muscaria) Very poisonous but very pretty mushrooms. I once saw one that was probably a foot across but alas I had no camera with me back then.

not actually poisonous in the kill you way, but certainly not without effects, and ones that are not particularly pleasant.

there’s a lot of horribly tortured sleep, for example, and the loss of the ability but unfortunately not of desire, to try and walk around.

it falls squarely into the “do not recommend at all” category.

Yeah that sounds like an Avoid at all costs thing. I was told they can and do kill people in northern california but wikipedia says deaths are extremely rare. Either way I will stick to the little brown caps(Psilocybe cubensis) if I wanna trip. The worst side effect I ever had from them is the urge to climb every tree I saw. Not that I do shrooms any more.

When I look at the file size it says its 219 kb. that won’t stay up very long at that size.
I think I will just start doing like CauseISaidSo suggested. I just wish I didn’t have to make the original that damned small just to get Fark to let it stay up.

Thanks CauseIsaidSo. That Canon DPP seems to help some but I had to reduce quality all the way and then resize down to less than half its original size on top of the quality thing. This has been damned frustrating to say the least. I have been using Gimp to do most of this stuff but I just could not make it look good and still have a small file size no matter what I tried. I always seem to forget all the software that comes with my Rebel. Hopefully I will not forget DPP in the future.
