I’ve turned one of the shots I took for this week into an hdr too. I think its been a while since we’ve done hdr, anyone want to do a hdr contest again?

I have the camera and tripod if we decide to. Now I just have to figure out how to put them together in the right way with gimp. Off to the HDR part of this site.

That makes a lot of sense to me Olavf. This is why I do farktography. So I can learn new photography styles and techniques.

I agree those are cool photos, but a lot of them I woudln’t have thought “abstract” when seeing them. When I think abstract photography I think of stuff that doesn’t have much obvious “object”/”subject” to it. I’m gonna have to do more reading up on this one myself…

That was my impression also. like the blurry xmas lights in my “spiked nog” happy holidays entry.

I am more inclined to go to the beer fest myself. Still not sure if I will be able to get the time off or a vehicle to get there in. I currently have a truck with transmission problems. I don’t know whats wrong or how much that repair will set me back yet.

I should be able to just post as usual. My pictures never seem to do very good regardless of how I think they will do. Except the spider from the heebie jeebies theme.

If you used the medium size it should have been fine. File size is only 69 kb… well under the limit. Nice picture by the way. We need to get elsinore to look and see what’s wrong I think.

Man I wish I lived near a real zoo. My only rule for myself this week was no pictures of my cat Pain so my list of easy to get wild animals is rather small. I didn’t feel like using any pictures of humans either this time around.I might have cut my chances of a good week but I love the sea lion pictures.
I love the new zoom lens that I used for those two shots.
