Heh, almost every week there is at least one picture I would vote for if the person had enabled voting – this week included.

I wouldn’t think of giving up. I sometimes have bad runs, and sometimes have good runs, but the point is what you said: I’ve learned a LOT by participating in farktography; the learning and the fun is more important than the votes… but getting those top ten places is, I have to admit, especially fun! 😀

You want to trade signature lines then ’cause I have never gotten better than 15th . Just kidding about the trade. I would never actually quit from lack of votes or I would have given up long ago. I am learning and I have a lot of fun shooting some of the themes… and to me thats the important part.

None of mine were archive shots this time. I took my first entry just after this theme was suggested and the picture of Klamath was with my pns because I was on my lunch break a couple days ago. I don’t take the nice camera to work. I’m not trying to complain but I guess it does look like it. I will shut up now.

Weeks like this have me wondering if I am actually learning anything about photography. My top two this week are tied for 90th place. Its almost enough to make a person give up. Almost. There are a lot of really nice pictures again this week.

Part of my dislike of the theme is that it feels exploitative and becomes a beauty contest that I’d rather kids not be subjected to. Just my two cents.

Thats about how I feel about it.Kids are great but I have no kids of my own. and at 40 and still single I doubt any will happen.

I usually use the Black and White tool as an adjustment layer because it gives you some handy presets to start with.

I’m pleased to announce (for those who cared) that a friend has given me his copy of Photoshop Elements that he doesn’t use and I have colorpopped my other 2 choices. My husband doesn’t have to do it for me any more. Yay! I’m all ready for this contest and the images have been properly uploaded to Photobucket so unless Photobucket crashes and loses my pictures, or something else happens, I can just post and go. Woot!

Congrats on getting it done yourself. It took me an hour or two to figure it out and finish my first attempt with a tutorial for gimp so I understand .

Yet another week for me where my entries do almost perfectly opposite of what I expected.

Damn there are a bunch of awesome entries this week already. I’m still laughing! It would seem Elsinore had the same idea I did but I bet mine is hotter.That Daves stuff is almost toxic its so hot!
