ParticipantLooks like your rig does what my Darlot does when I use it in conjunction with my canon lenses. Have LOTS of fun with it–I’ve had a blast with mine (and have done well in the contests with some of the shots, too.)

ParticipantThanks, couldn’t have done it with orionid‘s awesome idea and ready access to an Xray machine! 🙂
Yes, those machines can really come in handy sometimes. Congrats on the win, I’ve gotta hand it to you–that was my fave photo this week, hands down! It was a gripping contest, a handful of photos were within arm’s reach of winning, but you won it handily.
I’m fingering this guy for one who thinks puns are cute.
//edit; I meant figuring
//no, I didn’t. 😛
My best picture this week was suggested by a coworker when I was bitching about not having an x-ray. Mostly seriously.

ParticipantYours are better than that other-linked guy’s.
Just sayin’

ParticipantIn last September’s Az Highway’s issue, there was an article about a famous SW photographer who got his start taking baby pictures. Perhaps….

ParticipantDoes Nikon not offer a ‘budget’ price f 1.8 or so 50mm like Canon does? I love mine. Yes, it’s plastic. But it was in my budget, and with care will last me for years, till I can afford an f/1.4 (or win the lotto and get the f1.2)

ParticipantLovely! Congrats on the Caradocette!

ParticipantI’ve been thinking a lot about this, too, so thanks for the query.
**awaits the experienced poster’s response.**

ParticipantFWIW, Orionid, I use GoDaddy and haven’t seen the issue with my hosting. Same servers (Dallas, Phoenix), pro’ly a different IP Addy. I’m guessing you’re on the shared hosting? A dedicated IP would probably fix that, though it’s kinda pricey for what it is.

ParticipantMost of my family members have four legs and fur…and then there’s the dogs and the kitties.
Begeebus!!–You don’t have a tattoo of the word “Slave” arcross’t your back, do you?
//Jebeejus don’t answer that. 🙄

Participant-1 on stitched.

ParticipantI like the feel of the b/w.

ParticipantMuch like. The white-balance adjustment messes with the snow on the trees; I’d let it be (and imho the sky is better blue–it means little or no light pollution or otherwise pollution, and you have it in spades.) Shot, er, image # 2 would be good for hands with maybe light curves? Love the bokeh on that one. It lends itself to the axial rotation in the gun.

ParticipantIf we had prizes, soon we’d have politicians courting for freebies, and politicians spoil everything. I vote ‘nay’.

ParticipantEvery bit as good, Caradoc, I just got lucky and noticed it after the sun had set (from my vantage point.) Did that happen to be the same one? Sept, 2009?

ParticipantPlama; I thought about Cass for W, but in the shots I have, with the time exposure the stars forming it don’t stand out well enough. Same with Cygnus for ‘t’.
Definite congrats to Ranger Joe/Cameraflage. I gotzta get me up there for some shots one day…
