The town I live in is about 1200 people. We are refered to as a “bedroom community” meaning there isn’t anything here. Everything (shopping, entertainment, going out to eat, working,) is done in Springfield about 15 miles away. Just thowing that into the conversation.

Thanks for the input. I think I will try again tommorow to get one that is more “gardeny”. We have had hummingbird that visits the same flowers, but damn those things move around a lot.

I need a ruling on this one. Does this one work for the garden theme? I think it is more butterfly then garden, but my wife thinks it should be ok.

We have more than doubled the size of our garden in the last 2 years. The hard part is going to be narrowing it down to 3. Also, my wife has 2 flower gardens. This should be a good one.

Yea, I guess i am turning into a “grumpy old man” as my wife calls me. It’s just that it hasn’t rained here in weeks.

I scheduled some time to get shots for this week. A tank full of gas, the top down on the car, a sunny day and a well thought out destination. Right before I arrive the clouds roll in. You know, the kind of clouds that come right before a huge rainstom. The kind of clouds that turn everything the same shade of gray. I got a few shots, then the rain came. .
Oh well, maybe the grayness will help with the theme.

Dammit- I need to pay better attention. I thought this weeks theme was body mods. I don’t have anything for that theme, so I wasn’t going to play this week. I will have to put togeather something.

What the hell?

That’s what I thought. I used the 75.0 – 300.0mm lens at 75mm. ISO 100, f/4.0 with a 4 second shutter. No cropping or post adjusting other than converting RAW to jpeg. They shot off a few that would go off in different directions as they got bigger.
