For you guys who jumped the gun before the Boobies were posted, be sure to re-post. You may need to change wording or something; I think Fark prevents you from reposting an exact duplicate of another post you’ve made.

Yeah. I had to change the file name for the red lips pic. I had posted it too early and it was deleted. Then Fark denied a re-post because it was a ‘duplicate post’. No biggie.

Damn straight I brought out the kid pics. If I can’t make the grade with an actual good photo I’m not above playin’ to the masses. 😀 Now, a good photo with a toddler…ah, that’s farktography gold.

I know this is a wild thought, but surely you aren’t that hung up on the voting? I mean, you aren’t hard up for votes or anything. 😆 Seriously, though, your regular stuff is amazing…just doesn’t seem like you would need to stoop to that. Find your middle 😉

Aw c’mon. Stoop? Life went crazy and I couldn’t take the purple specific pics I wanted to for this theme. I searched my pics and found some purple stuff. Granted, there is some truth to my statement about kids pics and Fark. But mainly it was said in good fun. I’m proud of many of my kid pics because they’re more than just snapshots and I like sharing them. However, I like doing the creative regular stuff for contests better. Seems more like photography and not snapshotgraphy.

Why would you think that padlocks and corals are buildings?

Just checking, really – paddocks and corrals consist of many of the same materials as a “building,” and in some cases still include a roof to go with the vertical posts, horizontal rails, et cetera.

Aw man. I hate it when I have to explain the joke. That means it sucked.

padLOCKS and corals (with one “L”).

Items that have been left to be reclaimed by nature. Difficulty: no buildings or vehicles.

Clarification, please – are things like old paddocks, corrals, etc. considered “buildings” or not?

Why would you think that padlocks and corals are buildings?

/seriously. My input (worth little) is that those two are OK.

jpatten – and there’s always the capricious nature of Fark itself. Stuff that we find cool may not always translate well to the masses who’re fascinated by lolcats and poopy toddlers.

    Amen to that.

And I noticed U-man brought out the latter again. Cheater! 😉

Seriously, I wasn’t going to enter anything this week. I worked 80 hours last week, including Sat and Sun, and just didn’t find the time to try some ideas I had. (collective “awwwww” for U-man on three…) Then Mopsy called to say that she had uploaded her pics to the image host and posted them ALL BY HERSELF! That’s pretty big news. I have spent the last four or five Wednesdays on the phone saying, “now RIGHT click and select copy…now open the Fark window and paste it…yes, that is a RIGHT click…” Bless her heart. She didn’t grow up with teh internets.

Anyway, she pointed out that 2005 pic of my daughter in the snow in her purple snowsuit. Then I remembered the self portrait thing I took in some guys front yard while on a walk with the kids two weeks ago. Then I just threw in the AC/DC pope hat for chuckles.

I agree with jekxrb. Not to take anything away from swampa’s ferris wheel, I really like it, but that bobroberts photo is wonderful. schnee’s sand instantly caught my eye and sclark’s hound made me smile too.

    Lady E.

It appears that Mopsy’s colorful jacks pic was also scratched. If you can, would you please un-delete it?

Regardless, I’ve undeleted it, so unless there continue to be problems with it, it should be fine, and the FSM will pick it back up in the next day or so.

/Bows gracefully while doing that circle thing with right hand in recognition of your grandeur.

Interesting. I tried to link to the pic using the URL. That didn’t work. The pic “could not be found”. I then linked using the “Img” icon. I accidentally clicked submit rather than preview, but it worked.

    Now…..it works. Scratches head.

    What the…..

I’m at work and was talking with someone about kids. The convo went toward tomboys and I tried to show her that worms pic from this week’s contest using the FSM. The pic is gone.

I didn’t read carefully the above comments but it seems that something is up. Will the pic and votes come back? Can I do anything to help? I still see in on my image host.

I’ll gladly let Lady E play sheriff. If needed, I can be the deputy.

You’re just trying to avoid being shot by Bob Marley.

I am all sick and tired and cranky this morning but that made me smile.

I’ll probably have that song in my head all day.

U-Man – my prevailing thought is true glass. We could have a contest for plastic(s).

That’s one thing that I like about the farktography stuff is that it’s usually pretty straightforward on contest rules. I’m concerned that when this goes live, if there are interpretations of not-glass, it could turn into a trainwreck.

Of course, it’s not my contest, it’s yours. Have at it, good ladies and sirs.

I’ll actually be entering this one.

I hear you. When making the call about ‘true glass’, I strongly considered excluding all non-glass stuff. However, I left it more open to encourage creativity. I just want to see a bunch of cool pics. 8)

I have a feeling that almost all of the entries will conform to the general idea of the theme. I hope so anyway. Plus, it is too damn late in the game to be changing the difficulty significantly.

By the way, I don’t consider this as my contest. I just threw out the idea a while back. I’ll gladly let Lady E play sheriff. If needed, I can be the deputy.

Hmmmm…looks suspiciously like some sort of uniwheel vehicle.

How do you know it’s a vehicle?
    It looks like one!
It turned me into a newt! I got better though.

/Don’t care one way or the other ’bout the whole vehicle thing. Just stirring the pot. 8)

I have never participared in an anniversary theme. I think I know the answer already, but the photos are limited to just the past year. Right? A photo from greater than a year ago is not allowed.

Also, I think that the “repeats are allowed but not required” is better.

Just had a thought – what about a theme of only repeats (or not just repreats) that goes back to the beginning? Perhaps “Farktography’s Greatest Hits”.
