ParticipantChrist man, you catch up to her one time and she kicks your ass!

Nice job, Els. 🙂

ParticipantWhat a bummer. 🙁
It was actually Mrs. U-Man’s idea.
I laughed numerous times putting that together.
The Mrs. and I are going to wrap our brother in law’s christmas present in that box. 🙂 As a joke. We like him.

ParticipantAm I supposed to post all three of the set in one entry?
Yep, pretty sure that’s the way to do it. Like in the “Take Three” theme – http://www.fark.com/cgi/comments.pl?IDLink=4159405

ParticipantI’ve never done this but do these links describe what we’re trying to do for this theme?

ParticipantI had to explain to my co-workers why I had a knot on my head from running away from my camera and into a tree.
“Well, you see, there’s this photo contest on the internet…”
While I sustained no head injury, I discovered that running backwards, at night, while flashing a bright light in my face was less than safe. I ran into this fence a couple times but it was flexible so no harm was done. 🙂

ParticipantI just set Mopsy up with a long exposure try – we’ll see. It may need to be repeated.
I got two shots this afternoon. That photo shoot ended with me (mildly) pulling a groiner. Fark, I’m getting old. 🙁
I too am planning a longer exposure – with a twist. Mwa-ha-ha-ha. I don’t know if it will work though.
btw – JustKat, I missed these comments last week. I hope things are still going well. Perhaps it is a walk in that inner-city park in the afternoon?

ParticipantCongrats 🙂
Thanks Els. 😉

ParticipantAnd thanks to you, U-Man. I certainly appreciate your compliment. But look out! I’m coming after you!
Dude. Look at you! 🙂 While you were sneaking up on me, I was sneaking up on Elsinore.

ParticipantBB, you’re not crazy. It was missing when I looked earlier this morning. 🙂 But it’s back now so all is well.
/and it is a really nice pic, too. I love the crispness and colors.

ParticipantI’ve heard nothing good about the Canon 70-300 either.
I haven’t used this lens, but from what I have read, it is as NBD put it – good for what it is. I personally like the IS feature on my lenses because (at this point in my hobby) I rarely use a tripod if there is enough light.
Can anybody recommend a better lens with similar range that costs about the same?

ParticipantThese two hooligans were my kids before I had kids. Jessie (the black one) came from the pound and was a very, very, very good dog. We put her down just last year as an old lady of 16. She had cancer and was just at the end of the line. Sadie (the rusty brown one) was a stray and had more brawn than brain. She had a lot of Chow Chow in her and was very athletic and pushy. It took her a while to figure out that I was the boss. She had a stroke at 15.
My wife has seen me cry 4 or 5 times. Two of those were when these doggies got that last injection. I sobbed like a baby.
Scanned P & S print –

Participantcandy-ass.
/personally. I’d be concerned about being eaten up there.

ParticipantWe’re all a bunch of freakin’ idiots. Ah…it’s good to have company.

ParticipantCorsec67, your cement factory pic made me remember this one of mine. It was really cold and really windy. Your setting looks just as cold and windy. Was it shot for the “Utility Poles” theme? I like it.
