i like the last one best too.

[Curious]

8 out of 10. I rock 😛

It was the depth of field and bokeh that determined my choices.

mine too but i only got 5 of 10.

[Curious]

can we attribute emotion to animals? the happy or sad dog?

[Curious]

Curious if you’re on the beach and shoot a couple of the planes flying by you shouldn’t have a problem.

i’m going to use a shot taken a couple of years ago of a plane flying into the regional airport at gulfport. it was one of those “oh there’s a plane snap a picture” things. couldn’t get to the coast this weekend for new plane shots either at kessler afb or gulfport airport.

and while i appreciate the serious responses to my original comment it was tongue in cheek. given my bad temper and long history of telling the man to fuck off i’ve learned to stay well away from certain situations.

[Curious]

So long as the planes are in the air and you don’t get arrested, or shot, sure. 😉

aspidites that’s more the answer i was looking for. thank you for yours though. there is public parking right along the beach and i’d bet that with some judicious aiming i could look like i was shooting scenic shots or seagulls and get planes in the background.

but in this day and age and for a farktography contest it’s not worth pushing the boundary.

[Curious]

You don’t do anything 1/2 assed do you SilverStag?

Nope, I’m pretty much all in, all the time.

no shit kidding. as interesting as you make the stories and as much as i admire your courage let’s hope this one goes away soon and there are no more.

you make my 5 days in the hospital look like a vacation. and no magic fingers bed, thank heaven. it was bad enough being woken every two hours for meds/vitals/blood draw/whatever.

[Curious]

so if i park outside Kessler AFB and take pictures of the planes it should be ok, right?

[Curious]

(For instance, if I post late enough that my pix will be clumped together I might order them differently than if they are going to have several other submissions between them).

that doesn’t change the posting order but it sure changes how i think they will do. try to space mine out but there’s no evidence that it changes anything.

[Curious]

I don’t think the year is important as long as they were taken in the summer/capture summer.

now she tells me 🙂

personally (and despite having crap) i think just this summer is better.

[Curious]

the ever present #3 selection conundrum. help, please!

i liked 0515 which ever that one is.

but one on my entries recently got 2 votes so take my opinion with a bunch of salt.

i have my three for tonight. they will tank most likely but i like them and they are a good representation of how my summer went.

[Curious]

summer is memorial day to labor day right?

or close enough.

[Curious]

my best wishes too. having been in the hospital recently i know how crappy it can be. even if needed it’s still crappy.

[Curious]

man that sucks U-Man.

i hadn’t planned on entering tonight since i had no new stuff shot for this contest. and not much i liked in the archives but it’s a “classic” contest and i had to post something. so there are three that we’ll see what the voters think of them.

[Curious]

i love my gas grill. it does what i need efficiently and effectively. i’ve had pretty much every kind of charcoal grill made including a home built brick thing. the gas grill overall works best for how i use an outdoor grill.

i over bought when i got it since it has three burners inside, one outside and a rotisserie and usually i just use one or two burners. at the time i had the money and i’m glad i got it.

[Curious]

i was asking about DSLR video Yoyo. seem that those who have it use it like you do and those that want to shoot video use a dedicated camera for that.

ennuipoet has a good point in that multi function stuff tends to not do any of the functions real well. see printer/scanner/fax for a good example.
