I’ll add a corollary:

I know a lot of farktographers here are do-it-yourselfers; I’m looking more for that sort of feedback. I know there’s equipment out there to get wireless signals to nikon-brand flashes, but that means I’ll have to buy really expensive equipment. I’m wondering if there’s a roundabout way of doing it with off-brand flashes and cheap equipment – i.e. right now I have a Vivitar external flash, and am looking at getting a second, cheap one to work as the slave in the light stand.

I’ve been trying to archive-dive but can’t find anything that I really like. I have subs, like this:

Nope it isn’t a bandwidth thing. I don’t have any folders in my account anymore….just gone screw it guess it’s time to open a bottle

That’s…really crappy. Time to set up a flickr account? It’s one of the few things I was willing to spend $$ for unlimited hosting of photos.

I’m sure I could, but then that’d mean I have to actually go OUTSIDE 😮 Really though, the medieval route is a solid option, but I was hoping to find someone around here that had some D&D stuff so I could shoot something new. Oh well 😛

I’m getting a little confused as to how the image “won’t be used for commercial use or to make a profit” but at the same time is “for advertisement.” Isn’t that what commercial use is, leading eventually to profit?

I’d also be interested in seeing how much of your picture he’s using as a background. If it’s a focal point, then you can request more cash versus if it’s a blurred out, minor player.

Thanks, K. A guy at work just commented that I’m going to be bummed when my kids are all past the cute stage. I agree. But there’s no way I’m going back to having a baby in the house!

Already loving the shots, everyone.

My tree one was my last-minute shot that I got in last night. After 4 days of crappy weather, I was walking home and the skies cleared – so happy I’ve been bringing my camera to the lab with me every day. I was laying on the ground for some of the shots, having a bright, BRIGHT flash go off, and I swear dozens of people were staring at me, some wondering what was wrong with me, others no doubt questioning whether they just weren’t seeing something I was =D
