ParticipantY’all have motivated me. I’ll plan on going once a week to a new neighbourhood in my area, taking a photo of the street sign, and then taking several photos of the area that I feel embody the flavour of the street. It’ll get me to explore my town a bit more, and force me to be more active in my shooting even in the busy weeks.

ParticipantI dropped my speedlight while walking about London after Christmas and now it’ll only work in slave mode, so…I guess I’ll be using some cash to buy a new one of those. That’s sort of a gift from Santa, I suppose? Haha.

ParticipantI’d rather focus on making good-quality images. If votes are tallied as both “good photo” and “funny,” I think people will focus more on how to make their photographs hilarious. While some people can handle that no problem, I’m in no way at that level of photography yet…

ParticipantIt’s been said so many times, but ditto on the RAW shooting. I’ve thought about getting a grey card, but it’d be something more for portrait work, or if you know you’re going to have the exact same lighting conditions for many photos. If I’m walking around just exploring, there’s no way I’ll take the time to set up a grey card shot every time I walk through shade.
Shoot RAW, have big memory sticks, and keep empty spares just in case. I’ll also second the “disc is cheap” – I never delete or edit my original RAW files. I’ll store the originals in a safety file, then copy them over into another folder to play with the copies before converting them to a webpage friendly format. You can always go back and change things around if you wish, and you never lose any quality.

ParticipantDoesn’t need to be anywhere specific, just has to be public and strangers.

ParticipantOops – might want to fix that, the Parks theme was actually submitted by Yugoboy. Parking lots is me 😉

ParticipantWait, is Christmas coming already? Crap.

ParticipantMy teams (both farktography and friend’s league) were so ridiculously riddled with injuries this year that it’s not even funny. Horrible fantasy season this year for me 🙁

ParticipantThanks Kes 🙂
Farktographer …sleep?
…That thing that happens late at night to most people. Some people avoid it, though.
And yeah, I just meant I was going to go through and edit photos but nothing for this contest. Sorry for any confusion. Great entries so far, everyone!

Yeah, speeds this fast would catch just about everything…
…wow.

ParticipantFarktographer You’ve got eleven hours. I know what I’m doing at lunch…
Was hoping part of that would be sleep =P I’ve settled on just editing photos from my Amsterdam trip a few weeks back instead. I’ve just been a voter the past few weeks – once finals are over in January I’m hoping to get back into the groove of shooting weekly.

ParticipantWas looking forward to this project, but then I realised that busy weekdays = horrible photo opportunities. Bummer…

ParticipantIt’s been raining every damn day here for the past 2 weeks, but I’m planning for a miracle clearing tomorrow so I can get some shots after work. Scouted out some places yesterday that I liked…maybe I’ll just hold an umbrella over the camera if it’s not too windy.

ParticipantThis…warm feeling I have in the pit of my stomach. Is THIS why people watch these judge shows? That was an epic smackdown!

ParticipantThink they’ll accept a trade-in for a D7000? Seems fair to me 😈
