ParticipantThis would help oh-so-much with my more alcohol-induced photography.

ParticipantUgh…moving was more hectic than I anticipated. I’ve got nothing this week. Can’t wait to see the emotional shots, everyone.

Participant^ Ditto. I love the lines and the lighting.

ParticipantI borrowed my friend’s Nikkor 14-24mm f/2.8, and it was phenomenal. Absolutely loved it with my D7000. I’d highly suggest it for your landscape/astroscape photos. I had it stuck down to 14mm pretty much the whole time and the resulting photos were all clear and strong.

ParticipantWoohoo, I have internet again! In time to answer a question it seems, too. When I was thinking “airborne” I was thinking particular objects – not cloudscapes. I don’t think it really fits in with the theme here (though, technically, it could). Let’s try to stick to no clouds, no stars, no sun, no moon, etc.
I was thinking along the lines of ‘off-ground objects within the earth’s atmosphere, but also excluding those things a part of earth’s atmosphere.’
Eliminates astrophoto-centric stuff, plus the clouds/lightning/rays-of-sunshine-etc. that people might be compelled to enter.
The hardest part of many themes is that the idea behind them is clear, to us frequent viewers, but how to word it concisely for the non-forum venued poster, not-so-much.
This is pretty much what I was thinking from the beginning. I’m worried a stipulation of “no natural phenomena” would have people questioning whether a flock of birds is considered a phenomena.

ParticipantCould I get a potential OBO for this? I’ll have just started school and don’t know if I’ll be fully moved-in and set up for it yet. If I get internet by then though, I’ll PM whoever is OBO-ing for me.

ParticipantCould I get someone to post OBO for me? I’ll be 30,000 feet over the Atlantic when this post goes live…

ParticipantWell I got hit hard by the stupid tax this week. Too bad, I liked a couple of my pix. =P
Ditto to this, haha.

ParticipantKosovo? When were you stationed there? I have a buddy who was there a couple years ago (though, I don’t know how big of a base we have there or if you’d have ever run into him).

ParticipantWe were sitting in the moonlight hanging out as a group. It was amazing being able to see stars that you’ll never see due to light pollution. Still had air pollution though, so it’s not like we could see the Milky Way. Plus the moon was hampering everything by being so darn bright (but at least we could see each other with it).

ParticipantHope he gets well soon…
