ParticipantSo we’re all on the same page, right?
Right. And cars are alive, right?
They consume, they excrete, they are mobile, modern ones even have brains that think
They still don’t reproduce though.
wanna bet?
Until I see little Smart cars waddling away, it didn’t happen.
How many nested quotes can we get?
At some point they’ll collapse in on themselves and form a black quote hole.
I wanna see that in a twisted kinda way 😈
A hole from which no substance can escape.
Past the point of no return.

ParticipantHaving a hard time with some last-minute decisions. Anyone have some tips? I’m split between these two for time-lapse:
1. http://www.flickr.com/photos/ilpadrino03/5964367062/
2. http://www.flickr.com/photos/ilpadrino03/5963811383/And I like this one’s motion and colour, but the more I look at it, the more it seems it doesn’t tell enough of the surroundings:

Participant…. a good many will have not done anything along these lines before.
kind of the point, isn’t it?
Yugoboy, ennuipoet – who says it has to be people?
This was what I wanted to achieve with suggesting projecting something over a 3D object…it is as much as what can make of the creative challenge as it is about simply shooting a subject…one would hope that enough people would be challenged that participation would still be high, it encourages shooting new stuff in new ways.
I’d like to see something equally challenging at least once a month.
I agree with this whole-heartedly. Like Pope Larry II said, I joined Farktography to try new things and hone my skills as a photographer. It’s nice to do something you’re comfortable with, sure, but pushing your boundaries is where you learn. I’d love to have a monthly “challenging” theme that, while it might not get as many subs, will push those who participate to think outside of the box.

ParticipantOne thing I’m happy about with shooting in the UK – total rights to photograph things so long as you’re on public ground. Still, I’d rather not have the cops called on me if I can avoid it 😉

ParticipantWow, I haven’t been to Death Valley in about 15 years. I remember it being an awesome sight, but also really, really boring for me as a pre-teen at the time.

ParticipantAnd throwing my $.02 in, I rather liked the difficulty…

ParticipantAs Lord Eddard Stark would say, “Winter is coming.” Seriously though, I love the blend of white snow and fall colours.

ParticipantIf you’re just dipping your toes in, I’m worried about what you’ll be coming up with later! You’re already showing awesome composition (something I always struggle with horribly). Looking forward to future shots 😀

ParticipantThe first shot is awesome.

ParticipantI use the software that came with my Nikon (ViewNX2) for 95% of my stuff. I only really have to dive into photoshop if I have dust spots that need tending.

ParticipantIs it OK to post photos from the catacombs in Paris? Actual bones are involved…
Falls into “evidence of final rest” so I’d say it’s good to go.

ParticipantBecause of the fact that the people buried can’t give permission to have their photographs taken, I must outright condemn this theme as a whole. Shame upon all who participate in such atrociti–aw, whatever. I’ve got nothing this week, and the only graveyard nearby is the size of a driveway. Looks like I’ll be out another week.
I just got back from a small farmland cemetery. 20ish headstones. Is there anything cool in the small one by you?
Unfortunately, no – they’re pretty plain. I’ve checked it out, looked around to see if I can set up some sunset/sunrise/starlight photos, anything really. Nada. Not a very photographic location. Might look into posting some church photos, but not sure if that’d fly as well with the voters.

ParticipantLove the fourth and fifth ones. The open forest is amazing, and the capture of velvety strands of water gives beautiful contrast in that photo.

ParticipantLooks like a beautiful area to go hiking. Something about the matted feel of the trees draws me in for this image.
