Most of my traffic seems to come from unknown sources.

Coincidentally, I had two images get about a thousand hits each this morning, all from “Unknown source.”

…which is really annoying, because they’re two shots of a local theatre troupe, and I want to know what the referring article is about and by whom.

I went and asked the flickr faq thing about it and they claim it’s probably not a website but a rss feed reader or something like that. I kind of doubt that but I know next to nothing about the whole thing so who knows.

Wow! that’s pretty cool. Most of my traffic seems to come from unknown sources. I had a picture of squirrel tracks in the snow that was getting around 10 views a day from unknown sources every day for over a week. Never had traffic anything like that though. My most viewed picture only has a little over 200 views all together. So your picture is the bottom left one right? Or are all those yours?

According to your choices I would only have 9 photos culled from my choices even by the most lax of the choices. I try my damnedest to put all used pictures in a separate folder marked Farktography and so far it has prevented me from trying to double dip so to speak. The perfect picture for a theme having already been used I have found a few times though.So far I think I am good to keep it as is but would not complain at all if the rules are relaxed.

So would something like the drops of rain sitting on an object with no sky in the picture be ok? I have one I would love to use for a rain shot but like I said there is no sky or actual rain falling in the picture.

Definitely congrats to Orionid this week. I feel like I got stomped extra hard this week but not completely killed. Not my worst week by far but really low on the scoreboard. I will keep trying to get back to the top ten again. How does that little saying go try hard . fail. try harder fail better?

Right eye only. I am blind in my left eye. Had a cataract in my left eye when I was 15 and they couldn’t put an artificial lens in at that time because they said I wasn’t done growing. And when I was old enough and had stopped growing I was living the poor life on my own so no eye surgery for me. Maybe some day I will get a really good job and get it fixed but after 25 years blind in one eye it doesn’t really bother me.

I would also like to say thanks to EdenLiesObscured. That was taken specifically with this theme in mind. As were the firecrackers which I was so worried about last night that seem to be the more popular of my shots this week. the only archive dive for me is the stone on the beach. But I might have had this theme in mind but I cannot remember. I still feel outclassed but not as bad as I did yesterday. there sure are some nice shots this week.

Cool. I was willing to have it pulled if it strayed to far. Thanks for not making me chose something else. I am not sure I have anything other than bottle caps in snow to switch it out with. I didn’t think trash in the snow would do as well.

I just checked that out and yeah it drops picture count from 802 pictures down to 251 on my 4gig memory card. I do have two 4gig cards though. I will give it a try. it can’t hurt unless I go somewhere and try to take over 500 images in one afternoon. Which has only happened a handful of times in the two+ years I have had the camera.
