NoBigDeal I suspect that we’re much more visible than the average Fark thread, so the rules actually get enforced…

My experience has been (in the contests):
Too much side-boob = bad (how much is too much? I dunno)
buttcrack = bad
lots of cleavage = good
drugs are bad, mmmkay? (no, not really)

No idea on statues, but I suspect so long as it’s not “obscene”?

Jealous about the snow, soosh. We had a serious winter storm last week (snow level down to around ~50ft one day), but nowhere near anyplace I could get before it turned into rain.

I’ve managed to come up with one I really like, one I’m okay with and one that I like, but don’t think anyone else would, and I’m not sure it’s quite in theme.

Haha U-Man, that sounds like trying to get pics of the family here. One at a time, I can usually manage, but they get exponentially more squirmy the more of them there are. I think I might try sedation next time – though I’m not sure if that’ll be for me, or them 😉

U-Man I love the ‘related’ one. Any thoughts on a re-take with the two of them with their faces at the same angle? I think it might take it from a great pic to an awesome one.

Edited to add: I’m thinking a 5 degree difference in mom’s face. It’d add a dimension to the similarities between them, and were it my family, that’d be the one I’d want on my wall, I think.

Thanks soosh. Personally I’m still learning, and trying to figure out where I want to go… But, like SilverStag said, if there were money in it…

Someday I’d like to get together a gallery showing someplace local. Who knows, maybe by next summer I’ll have enough pieces to start schlepping around to see if anyone bites. It’s a dream, anyway.

For now, I’m trying to do my own stuff, and also keep up with the contests. I like being pulled in directions I wouldn’t normally go, or think of shots in ways I wouldn’t normally think of them. Y’all inspire me to keep trying, and try new things too.

hm. some of my stuff is heavy on the backlighting, but my understanding that was still low-key by design. It’s all definitely single light source work though, so I guess I’ll let them stand
