I’ve had shot set aside for this one for a few months now. As part of my last job I had to chain drag a parking garage (it’s exactly what is sounds like, I walked backwards dragging a chain around a parking garage), the upside was that I had access to a virtualy empty parking garage. For some reason I took my camera to work that night 😉
I’m glad I’m mot alone in panicking on this theme. I’ve got photos ready for themes that have only been approved. Heck, sometimes I try to be a few weeks ahead of the themes.
I’m still trying to come up with ideas for the theme.
So if it’s a store front, do windows have to be shown or is the sign out front or on the building okay?
God, I hope so… that describes my 3rd image!
(I have a B if necessary, but I’d rather this one… when I converted to B&W it came out exactly as I had it in my head when I shot it)
I photographed a lot of buildings for my last job. The first thing I did was talk to security and make sure they know that I’m there and what I’ll be doing. It always looks suspicious when someone is wandering around a building with a camera for an hour or so. I’ve only had problems once doing it this way, actually it was more security’s problem than mine, the people in the building kept phoning security to alert them that I was there. Security finally gave up and handed me a company safety vest so they’d stop getting calls.
