ParticipantI’m avoiding the whole conflict by just sitting in the passenger seat and taking pictures out of the window. 🙂
However, since the photos may be technically sub-par due to motion and auto glass, I went with the outside pitch and hit to right field. (I don’t want to give away too much.)
/and I’ll totally second Mopsy’s comment that Elsinore is a great mod. Even when we disagree, I find her fair and honest.

ParticipantSorry I didn’t chime in sooner after my first post this evening. I’m at Mopsy’s and the fish were calling. Then I just HAD to light off some fireworks for *ahem* the kids. 🙂
I truly didn’t mean to cause a ruckus. In my head, I thought that this was discussed and OK. I didn’t re-read this thread before taking that frog and toad-stool pic. If it is any consolation – it was a pain the the ass photo. I couldn’t get the exposure right and the frogs were jumping and I had to wipe off my lens between most shots. My wife said that I was acting like a stereotypical, impatient, bossy photographer. 😳

Hmmm. I saw these…
You can always “make” rain too if you’re desperate, we’re not going to know the difference 😛
So, precipitation falling from the sky that *didn’t* condense from clouds is okay? Because that opens up a couple pictures for me. 🙄
(totally natural, mind you, though; no hoses here.)

…and my brain said it was OK. But it doesn’t seem to actually be answered. I would have been better off without the caption but the kids wanted their names in the ‘credits’.
Options –
1. Yank it and add something else. I have choices.
2. Leave it as-is.
3. Yank it and repost it without a cation.U-Man
ParticipantI’m happy for you, K. Nice shot. also, it is no small feat to come out ahead of soosh in a night-time photo theme. 🙂

ParticipantThis is generally frowned upon. You really should only post a single photo, because additional photos may influence votes besides the fact that the rules pretty clearly state one photo per post. You can certainly post a link to the signs if you want, though.
I understand what you are saying. But…
There’s always a ‘but’. Did I cross this line last week with the pop-link to the ‘For Sale’ 3600 Chevy? I put it out there just because I thought it was fun. But, now that I think about it, it may have blurred the line a bit.
Would it be OK to link to a photo with the sign? Or is that a slippery slope?
Perhaps the bestest and safest thing to do would be to simply quote the sign in the typed text.

ParticipantBah. I hate call weekends. I got nuthin’ but some headstones on file. And maybe and idea or two – but no time.

ParticipantYou guys are awesome. Awesomely geeky – but awesome nonetheless.
‘mofo – I’ve said it before, but I really appreciate your humor.

ParticipantNope. I didn’t. I got stuck trying to decide what to get and just…didn’t.
Maybe my subconscious has had enough time to kick it around now.

Participanthaha mopsy she also likes taking pictures of me, so I’m hoping that isn’t a pattern 😉
Is there a difference? I’ll bet you are creepy and crawly sometimes.
Oh. Elsinore. Yeah. I probably will. I have liked the super-macro stuff since I was a kid. But who around here has the tilt-shift glass? 🙂
U-Man
ParticipantI might. Probably. Maybe. I want better telephoto though.
/must ponder.

ParticipantOh. And you just had to introduce me to the Canon Macro Photo MP-E 65mm f/2.8 1-5x Manual Focus Lens didn’t you? With the obligatory ring lights, of course.
And I was perfectly satisfied with my 100 mm.
Dangerous hobby.
