ParticipantI’m sure he has plenty of ideas without y’all’s encouragement.
Besides one of the guys in the Connecticut rocket club told him about that article today.

There’s orionid using it with the now-lost Casio earlier this summer.
Edit: Apparently he already linked that photo. Whoops!

ParticipantMine were from Harkness State Park and Gardens in New London, Connecticut. Rained a bit as you can tell from the water on the swan and flower.

ParticipantYes, I do have very large breasts.
And you should have taken a picture of your soapbox for Defunct.

ParticipantAfter looking at what’s posted, I might have something to contribute, but I’ll wait until tomorrow to post, let my brain chew on it and also see if the pictures are worth posting at all. I love what I’ve seen so far though!
The longer you wait, the less votes you get.
It’s not even about votes. I post even I have crap. Participation helps you grow. I was confused why you said you wanted some ideas to grow and then posted that you didn’t want to play this week. Telling yourself you *have* to contribute even if it’s not your best is going to hold your photos to a higher standard. If you’re like me, you’re going to go back and reprocess a photo or come up with a last minute idea if you’re really not satisfied. It takes practice to get creative juices flowing. Plus the voting feedback in some sense directs you to what is working and what is not (although I have lots of photos that I really like that don’t win or aren’t even my highest place photo. It’s balanced out by the ones I think will do poorly and end up doing well.)

ParticipantI thought I was going to be late! Woot!

ParticipantYou don’t have to wait for me to go out of town – I’d support buying a Bag of Crap or 2. At only $8 I’m curious what we’d get. Cleaning the garage and basement though – that you can do.

orionid’s pumpkin is on the left, a friend’s in the middle and mine on the right.

House before dark fell and strobe lights went on.

ParticipantAs long as it’s in context you can have whatever else you want in the picture.

ParticipantSounds from the article like he didn’t even mind them using it, he just would have liked to be compensated for it.

ParticipantTonopah? G/l on finding thunderstorms but at least you have Mono Lake, Yosemite and a bazillion ghost towns and mines in the area.

ParticipantI’ll necrotize your pancreas.

ParticipantFossils are definitely defunct animals…
People still use answering machines and VCRs but I definitely consider them defunct or archaic. Archaic things still work they just have been replaced or upgraded with something else. -
