I will be a bit hard pressed to find a skating rink Ice or otherwise in this dinky little town. Not sure yet if there is a little league here. Would car racing count? I know there is dirt track racing here.

That is one hell of a stack of uv filters. It definitely showed a drastic change between the 5 stack of good vs 5 cheap filters. I had a cheap uv filter from walmart and only used it a few times because even the one cheap filter seemed to degrade photo quality a lot. I ended up taking the glass out of it and putting the empty filter ring on my circular polarizer filter to have a bit more ring to grab and turn. I have not noticed any vignetting so it has stayed.

I shot one new one for this week and plan to archive dive for the other two. However, I can’t tell if I used my other possibles in prior contests ’cause schnee spilled beer on the FSM.

I’m not complaining about schnee having a life. Really and truly. 🙂 But if we don’t have an FSM by go-time can we get some leniency for scarlet R’s?

OK, guys & gals, since FSM went down I’ve been spending all of my free time, a lot of my sleep time, and the time I’d normally put into the next contest (which may result in me having to skip this one) working on the new stats site.

It’s not ready yet (but watch for an announcement within the next day or so), but I’m far enough along that I was able to whip up something quick and dirty that may help here. It’s a page showing thumbnails of every entry for a given user with the contest date and theme. The thumbnails themselves are links to the entry in the Fark contest in case you need to view larger.

Bicycling is a sport right? So if I get pictures with the handle bars or front forks and the road in front of me that would be good? Or maybe a self portrait while riding. A myspace angle should show the bike and road too.

I learned tonight that my camera will let me flip the whole thing upside down and it doesn’t correct that. bonus.

I am also good with 10 votes for any theme suggestion classic or not. In the other discussion I said for non classics but all is good.

I have no problem with raising the vote count to ten on non classic themes either. On the other question I personally would have an easier time with a combined theme I think.

I will always like to hear other ideas. I am not short of ideas this week but your idea might work out even better than what I have so far.
