I would like to sign up for the newsletter also.I can’t afford a trip to Alaska right now even though it sounds like my kind of party.Other than the cold .Although it isn’t any better here in northern California right now.

I’m out tonight. I couldn’t take or find a single pic I thought fit the theme well enough.next week should be better.

I don’t even know where to start on this one. I already used the only picture I have taken that looked photo shopped.It was the helicopter shot I used in curves. Unless light trails from a 15 second exposure might work.like this

Boy I must just be off this week. 6 votes total so far . I would have thought the Elk Creek pic would have been the top vote getter among my pictures but I would have been wrong it seems.

My lolcats are doing much better than my farktography entries…. heeheehee

Well, the lolcats are showing up in the FSM, although there’s a bit of a headline problem at the moment. I’m sure schnee is on it, though 🙂

Actually, I was wondering if the Farktographers over time graph could be improved, perhaps by making the boobies and weeners 5 contest moving averages or something…. it’s awfully hard to read as is right now.

I also added a 10 contest MA to the boobies and weeners lines and spread it out a bit.

I would say the changes are better.
I’m not doin very much in the way of votes but it sure is cool to see this many entries.my cat Pain is kinda hurt he isn’t getting many votes but he will get over it. 😉

This was my second best ever showing. And the highest vote getter was basically an accident.I didn’t plan on taking the picture of Pain, he just got in the shot and I liked it.

That little sob is only ten feet from me and that is as cropped as I could get without it getting blurry.I guess I will try again.With bigger birds.well maybe a little closer but not nearly as clear as I would like.

went back at it with Gimp2 and this is as good as it gets with my skills in photo manipulation.

I was sitting here reading this and realized the picture is only slightly smaller than life sized.

Now I know I need a better camera.Not one of my pictures of flying birds looks even 10 % as good as that “parachuting” hawk.

It’s a hummingbird in flight. This was a very lucky shot in my opinion.
