Fluffy-B (and orionid) – I’m 99.9% sure I’ll be sitting here at post time. I’ll let Fluffy do the honors but if that falls through just give me a heads up.

What I came here to ask is this…just what is this artifact called? The bloom, smeared look of the daisies.

If you’re a Facebook friend, you know that my oldest girl has become interested in fishing with me. While I love fishing by myself, I honestly like fishing with her better. Talking my ear off and all…

On Monday, I covered another doc’s work so he could get home a couple hours early. Today, he did the same for me. I picked my 8th grader up from school and we drove to a lake about 40 minutes away. She did her algebra in the car. She kicked my butt – and I couldn’t be happier about it.

So that’s part of the reason I did a late archive dive.

Oh yeah, I wasn’t really supposed to leave work. So if I post these on Facebook in the near future mum’s-the-word. 🙂

Total archive dive for me. But just wait until I show you the fishing pics…

Thanks. Maybe I should skip two weeks more often.

I have nothing yet for this week. Plus, I’m on-call… But I have an idea or two.

You guys know me. Post-processing is part of my creative fun. I love it and frequently have hold back for these themes.

This processing was done in Topaz and Photoshop. I’m really quite happy with the result but if it the consensus is that they are too processed just pull them. Or, if there is a way to, please keep them up but just turn off voting.

    Hmmmm. I think I’m a little off-theme – and no chance to fixx0r it.

It’s REAL hard to be off theme in a theme I suggested! 😀 Basically, you would have to submit pics of the kids at Disney or something!

Okie-dokie. The two I did certainly have a dark mood. But they are bit more on the creepy side than the examples I’ve seen here.

I’m out of state right now but I got two done before leaving. I frickin’ love this theme and will probably get a 3rd from the archives. The two I’ve done are processed pretty hard but I think they fall within our guidelines. I have some ideas and might shoot another theme-specific shot tomorrow.

QueenBee – I agree with Yugoboy that ‘Fear’ is too dark. On my laptop, I couldn’t really tell what was going on. Maybe you just need to tweak it a bit brighter?

Man, I knew I wouldn’t do well this week–life got in the way of my getting new shots–but I hadn’t a clue how well I’d not do well!

Such is life. Some of the work this week is absolutely stunning; I’ll just be a fly on the wall, over there –>

Yep. Me too. Although after the last few weeks I’ll just STFU now.

I’ve been talking to some Catholic friends though. There are a few old churches in town that I want to get into when they’re empty. I think they can make that happen.

Orionid, evidently you were right. That grotto was waaaaay crazy impressive in person. I had sort of crappy flat light and didn’t know exactly what to do with it. I didn’t carpture the craziness. The place looked like me and my 13 year old made it with about 10 millions shells and bits of glass and shiat.

Chiming in on the Tokina stuff. –> I don’t have one, but I have heard good things about the 11-16 mm (other than the short range)

Damn work. Getting in the way of me pichurs.

Good stuff tonight. Too bad none of it is mine. 🙂 I had to dive.

Here are some bees – if anyone thinks I made a mistake with my choices, I’d like to hear. I just sort of shot from the hip.

both of those are very captionable…but more statue than church.

    What’s Babylon 5?

…said the apple, to the orange…

I think it has something to do with this — http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O5e_1_ySlaY

U-Man, thought you’d like to know that my non-sports-loving wife instantly picked up on the Ali posed Apple and Orange. Well done sir, well done.

Thanks! That really means a lot. I wasn’t sure if *ahem* normal people would get it.

Mopsy and Fluffybunny, the bleeding (juicing?) orange is one of my favs too. Really, really clever AND well executed.

Agreed. I couldn’t see that one last night since images from photobucket are blocked at work.

U-Man and Fluffybunny, I’ve been waiting for a good time to use a real-thread example in my farkback about the voting things. Would either of you mind if I used your performances this week as an example where the voting result could be considerably different with only one vote button?

NOT AT ALL! I assume you mean that fluffy’s lead in the “Funny” category would make things much closer, if not place his photo first,. In a theme like this, funny should weigh a lot more than it does. If anything, the ‘Funny’ button likely steals “real” votes from a pic like Fluffy’s. It probably affected the Bacon theme too. Go get ’em.

I know comments like this are taboo in-thread with PSers, so I’ll just save trouble and say it over here:

    Coexist FTW.

Thanks O. That’s the one that came out of the camera like it looked in my head. But I’m saying right now, there are several already that I wouldn’t feel the least bit bad placing behind. I’m really impressed so far. From memory, I think that, as a group, we’re kicking the prior A vs O themes right in the nads.

Me either and me too. 🙂

One came together just like I wanted. Execution on #2 was a bit off. End result of last night’s pic isn’t what I had hoped for, but it’s OK.

Rav – I saw that orange paint apple on G+ and had the same “Ooooooo, I could….naaaa” reaction that you had. 🙂
